Greene County High School athletes will compete in three events at the high school portion of the prestigious Drake Relays on the Drake University campus later this week.
Senior Eme Johnson will compete in the 100 meter hurdles while teammates seniors Mollie Sorber, Emma Saddoris and Emily Christensen, and sophomore Olivia Hansen compete in the 4 X 100 meter relay.
The boys 4 X 100 meter relay team will also compete, with senior Dylan McConnell, sophomore Dalton Weber, senior Dylan Hamilton and junior Max Neese comprising the team.
Qualifying for the Drake Relays is done at large based on distances and times until all positions are filled.
Preliminaries for the girls 100 meter hurdles start Friday at 8 am, with the finals at 11:36.
Preliminaries for the girls 4 X 100 meter relay start Friday at 5:10 pm, with the boys at 6 pm. Finals for those relays are Saturday at 3:35 for the girls and 3:40 for the boys.
